Storm & hurricane sign repair
On this coast, sign damage isn't an if. When the storm passes, we assess what's left, document it for your insurance claim, make the structure safe, and rebuild, often to better wind spec than what blew away.
The Florence test
After Hurricane Florence, Iron Guard Storage's sign was blown out. Our crew checked the power, drew up a new sign, fabricated it, and had it installed within days. The whole story is in their five-star review, still posted on our Google profile. That's the working definition of storm service: not a tarp and a promise, a working sign.
What to do while you wait
- Don't re-energize a damaged sign. Water in a cabinet plus a live circuit is how small damage becomes a fire. Leave the breaker off.
- Photograph everything before cleanup, wide shots and close-ups. Your adjuster will want them; so will we.
- Keep the pieces where it's safe to. Faces and letters can sometimes be reused, and they document the claim.
- Call us early. After a regional storm the queue is real; assessment visits get scheduled in the order calls come in.
“Our sign was blown out by Hurricane Florence and Bender came out to check the power to the sign along with drawing up and making a new sign for our facility. When they came out to put it up they were very efficient and got it done within a few hours. Bender signs is the way to go!!”
For insurance claims
We provide itemized repair-versus-replace quotes, photos, and structural notes in the format adjusters expect, and we can talk to your adjuster directly. Rebuilds are engineered to current wind-load code, which is often better than what the storm took.
When the storm takes the sign, call us
Call the shop and you'll get someone who has built and hung signs, not a call center. Or send the quote form.
