A pylon sign is a structural steel project wearing a sign. The visible part (cabinet, tenant panels, message center) sits on a pole whose diameter, wall thickness, and concrete footing are engineering outputs, not guesses. On this coast everything is sized for hurricane wind, and that is the reason our pylons are still standing after storms that took others down (a customer’s Google review tells that story better than we can).
We handle the full sequence: survey, engineering, permit, footing, fabrication, and the crane day. The photos on this page are our crane setting cabinets at Neuse Sport Shop, BSH’s tenant panels in New Bern, and the retro pylon at Jeff’s Burgers in Jacksonville.
If a pylon is more sign than the location needs, we will tell you. A monument or a taller building sign is sometimes the better spend, and steering you right is worth more to us than the bigger invoice.
